How to check your photo for underfilling
Every cylinder has two numbers that matter: the tare weight (the empty cylinder's own weight, stamped on the body) and the net gas weight (12KG, 15KG, or whatever size you ordered). Add them together — that's what the scale in your photo should show for a full cylinder.

Cylinder Sizes & How Long They Last
Most households in this area use a 10KG or 13KG cylinder. For an average family cooking two to three meals a day, a 10KG cylinder typically lasts two to three weeks. Heavier use — a gas geyser, frequent tea-making, a larger household — can bring that down to one to two weeks. Restaurants and shops usually go through cylinders much faster and often need commercial-size supply instead.
Choosing the Right Regulator
This trips up a lot of people, and it's not your fault — regulators aren't one-size-fits-all. Cylinders use different valve types, commonly 20mm, 21mm, or 22mm clip-on fittings, or a POL screw-type fitting for larger cylinders. Composite vs Metal Cylinders
Composite (sometimes called fiber) cylinders are lighter, don't rust, and let you see the gas level through the body. Metal cylinders are the traditional option — heavier, but familiar and widely used. Neither is unsafe when it's properly maintained and refilled by a licensed supplier. The material isn't what makes a cylinder risky — poor handling and unlicensed refilling are.

They don't, not on their own. Almost every real incident traces back to a damaged valve, a leak that went unnoticed, or a cylinder left too close to a flame or heat source. A properly maintained, properly refilled cylinder stored upright and away from heat is a low-risk appliance, not a ticking bomb.
